From the recently resurfaced 6099’ x 150’ runway to the spacious concrete
ramp, the Hattiesburg – Bobby L. Chain Municipal Airport (HBG) boasts general
aviation facilities not routinely found in cities our size. The design of the
expansive eleven (11) acre ramp offers the flexibility of separating aircraft by
type to prevent potential conflicts in operations. And should the weather take a
turn for the worse, we’re able to provide enclosed hangar space for most
corporate and general aviation aircraft.
Inside you will find comfortable accommodations for both pilots and passengers.
Whether you are a passenger waiting for your transportation to arrive, or a
crewmember who will be with us for the day, we’ll provide amenities that allow
you to effortlessly pass the time. Relax in our lounge area with cable TV, surf
the Internet
utilizing our
high-speed wireless connection, or just catch up on
that needed rest. You may also opt to visit the George Robert Hall Airpark
located on the field. Honoring a former F-101 fighter pilot and ex-POW from
Hattiesburg, the airpark features a static display of three fighter jets used
during the Vietnam era. Regardless of how you choose to spend your time, we are
confident your layover in Hattiesburg will be an enjoyable and productive
experience!
